This was a wonderful story line and good writing. Loved the characters in the book but the ending should have been so much better. It ruined all the good things for me. Just a few more pages would have made it so much better. Not enough closure.Product details

Excellent subject. The amount of traumas suffered by these characters, and their continued faith in God is the kind of encouragement we need right now.
Remembering, as they did, to trust Him to lead you in your decisions. Sometimes you have to step back before you see the perfect place for you.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance with a happy ending!
A beautiful story of Gods working on the lives of people. Love is full of surprises, some good and some heartbreaking. As Olivia struggled to understand what to do after the loss of her husband, the new friends in her new home town attempt to help. God is touching lives in unseen ways.........but is she ready to my believe!
I've always enjoyed Deborah Raney's books, and Insight was another winner! Her characters come to life for me and I always find myself smack in the middle of her tales. This one had me from the start and as I read on, I couldn't wait to see what was in store for both Olivia and Derek. A beautiful love story in which God's will was sought as tough decisions were made! You will not be disappointed in this great read!
I just finished reading Insight by Deborah Raney and this book is a superb read!
Olivia is trying to save her marriage, and this includes moving from Chicago to a small town in Missouri; from a town of millions to one ten thousand. The very day she arrives, tragedy hits, and her life is shattered, with her husband’s death. Sadly, that same night, she makes the decision to have her husband’s organs donated, and for him to be removed from life support as he is brain dead.
With little money and no insurance, she must figure out what her next step is to be. Boom! She finds herself pregnant!
Chicago and her old job aren’t viable options, as she comes to find out, and so Olivia decides to find local work. She finds a job as an artist assistant, to a local artist named Reed Vincent. Reed is a talented artist who is struggling to save his eyesight and he ends up going through a second corneal transplant. Olivia helps Reed in his studio freeing up time so he can paint projects he is behind on, and make a living. The two of them begin to have a special friendship. Until, Olivia has insight…!
This story is extremely well-written, the flow is a moderate pace, the characters come to life easily, and the settings are well described. Raney delivers fictional drama like a professional. Numerous areas of life are brought forward, and the angst felt by the characters are well written. I appreciate Christian fiction/romance novels and this one delivers a punch! That said, I read that Raney Day Press was involved in this book, and, as such, should be accountable for the errors found by this reviewer. I can’t proof my own books, and I have learned that ‘fresh eyes’ are a great tool. The mistakes are few and most readers wouldn’t notice if a ‘in’ was used instead of an ‘on’, and that type of thing. Regardless, I rate this book as a five star read as the novel brought out so much emotion, faith, and love.
Lovely book that carries full meaning of following in God will. Solving personal problems and needs in God's time. Well written. Highly recommend to anyone who may be having personal problems. Loved the all characters in this book. I had hard time putting this book down.😉
Loved this book! Derek and Olivia have been married ten years and are trying to begin their marriage fresh, after working through Derek's affair. Derek felt a move would help that fresh start, so they're moving from Chicago. Derek moved ahead of Olivia, while she tied up loose ends in Chicago and worked her final days at the job she loved.
Tragedy hit her as soon as she arrived at their new home in Missouri. She arrived only to discover that Derek had been killed in an accident at work. Olivia knows no one here and moving back to Chicago isn't much of an option as their apartment has sold and her job has been filled with someone else. With no income and not knowing anyone, what will she do?
She began going to the church that Derek had began attending before she arrived and met a nice couple and made a friend in the woman. Olivia responded to an ad on the church bulletin board from an artist, Reed, who is looking for an assistant. Olivia used to love to paint, until life became so busy and Derek made her feel she had no talent.
The job with Reed became Olivia's lifeline, which she would need when life dealt yet another unexpected blow to Olivia.
Loved this story. I felt Olivia's pain, joy, heartache, everything.
I always love Deborah Raney's books. This one is very special as she deals with so many life lessons. There is financial strain, unwanted pregnancy, forgiveness for wrongs, trust, love and letting go of the past. I highly recommend this book because I believe you will love it as much as I do.
